Terms of Use
These terms cover your use of Naija City (“the game”, “we”, “us”) at naija.city. By creating an account or playing, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the game.
1. Who can play
Naija City is for adults. You must be 18 or older. We ask for your date of birth once, and we may suspend accounts that give false information or belong to someone under 18.
2. Your account
- You are responsible for your login and for what happens on your account. Keep your password private.
- Usernames must be unique. We may remove or change names that are offensive, impersonate someone, or break these terms.
- One person, one account. Don’t share, sell or trade accounts.
3. It’s a game
Naija City is a work of fiction and entertainment. Characters, businesses, police, politics, crime, betting, elections and events in the game are imaginary and are not advice or encouragement to do any of those things in real life. Any resemblance to real people or organisations is coincidental.
4. Virtual money, items and top-ups
- Naira, cash, items, properties and businesses inside the game are virtual. They have no real-world cash value and can’t be withdrawn, sold outside the game or exchanged for real money.
- Betting, loans and similar features use virtual money only. Nothing you win or lose in the game is real money.
- You may buy top-up packs with real money through our payment partner. A top-up gives you a limited licence to use the virtual currency in the game. Top-ups are credited only after the payment is confirmed. Except where the law requires otherwise, purchases are non-refundable once credited. If a payment went through and you weren’t credited, contact us with your payment reference.
- We may rebalance prices, rewards, caps and rules at any time to keep the game fair, and we may reset or adjust balances affected by bugs or abuse.
5. Playing fair
You agree not to:
- cheat, use bots or scripts, exploit bugs, or manipulate the economy, messages or rankings;
- harass, threaten, scam or abuse other real players, or share hate speech, sexual content involving minors, or illegal content;
- upload pictures or text you don’t have the right to use, or that show other people without their permission;
- probe, attack, overload or reverse-engineer our servers or other players’ accounts;
- use the game to advertise unrelated products or to run real-money schemes.
In-game theft, scams and fights between characters are part of the game’s rules. Real-life harassment is not.
6. Your content
You keep ownership of what you post (messages, ads, pictures, group posts). You give us permission to store, display and deliver it to other players inside the game so the features work. Other players can see your username, public profile, ads and anything you post publicly. We may remove content that breaks these terms.
7. Suspension and ending
We may warn, limit, suspend or delete accounts that break these terms or harm other players, with or without notice for serious cases. You can stop playing at any time and ask us to delete your account (see the Privacy page).
8. Availability and changes
We work to keep the game running but can’t promise it will always be available, error-free or that progress will never be lost. We may change, pause or end features or the whole game. We may update these terms; if we make important changes we’ll tell you in the game, and continuing to play means you accept the new version.
9. Disclaimer
The game is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of virtual items or progress, or for what other players say or do. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the law that can’t be limited, or liability that can’t be excluded.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
